Facebook Launches A New Food Ordering System In The US

Facebook Launches A New Food Ordering System In The US

It’s officially announced that Facebook users can now order food from local restaurants using the new feature in the app.
According to the company’s confirmation, both iOS and Android users are able to use this new feature, which has already been rolled out in the US.
Using the “Order Food” section in explore menu, Facebook users can see the list of well-known food service companies including EatStreet, Delivery.com, DoorDash, ChowNow and Olo, or chain restaurants such as Five Guys, Papa John’s, Panera, Chipotle, Wingstop, Jack in the Box and TGI Friday’s, which became partnered with Facebook.

They can also read the reviews shared and see the ratings given. After selecting “pickup” or “delivery” option, they can sign up while they are still in the app to complete the order.
This would be good news for the users, who are not familiar with the existing services, but Facebook features.
Alex Himel, VP of Facebook’s local team, said:
We’ve been testing this since last year, and after responding to feedback and adding more partners, we’re rolling out everywhere in the US on iOS, Android and desktop. People already go to Facebook to browse restaurants and decide where to eat or where to order food — we’re making that easier,
Even there are existing food delivery apps which give a wide-range of restaurant choices, Facebook’s new feature would offer a quick and easy service in terms of user experience. Besides, it keeps users in the app for a long time!
